NBC Promos February 22, 1978

Growing up, one of my favorite TV shows was Columbo. I always thought how great it would be to grow up and solve murders like Peter Falk's beloved character. I remember there was ONE episode that REALLY stood out to me. "Make Me a Perfect Murder" featured a TV executive who murdered her lover and Columbo was on the case. As usual Columbo was frequently bothering the accused, visiting her at work and hitting her with the "Oh, just one more thing..." line, but it was seeing the inner workings of the TV production world that would be a MAJOR influence on my current career in video production!

Here are some NBC Network promos for Columbo "Make Me a Perfect Murder", Project U.F.O. & the world premiere of Quark!

A Quick Thanks

Just wanted to say a quick "thanks" to all the great feedback I've been getting about this blog. I've heard many great memories and I'm glad I have the opportunity to share some of the clippings and videos I've researched throughout the years. Growing up in the 70's and 80's it was easy to pass off television as the "electric babysitter" or a "waste of time", however at least as a kid, TV was our culture. Not only did we watch it, it was what we played on the playground at school, the toys we played with, on our lunchboxes, became our art class projects, we made friends through our mutual love for a certain TV show, became part of our initial identity through the shows we liked and for some, it even became a career!  Anyways, thanks for letting me share what is a major part of my life and look forward to sharing more!

TV GUIDE DENVER AREA

November 24, 1968

THE EARLY DAYS OF AMERICAN FURNITURE WAREHOUSE

Jake and Co. are still around, but I remember American Furniture Warehouse being the ULTIMATE place to go in the 70's. Vivid memories include BEGGING my parents to buy the red fuzzy, covered, circular waterbed complete with stereo, TV and "rabbit ears" jetting out of the top of the thing. Alas, I didn't get it and still to this day haven't gotten over it;-)
