THE EARLY DAYS OF AMERICAN FURNITURE WAREHOUSE

Jake and Co. are still around, but I remember American Furniture Warehouse being the ULTIMATE place to go in the 70's. Vivid memories include BEGGING my parents to buy the red fuzzy, covered, circular waterbed complete with stereo, TV and "rabbit ears" jetting out of the top of the thing. Alas, I didn't get it and still to this day haven't gotten over it;-)

    I remember the commercials for American Furniture Warehouse in the '80s, with the background music and the singing of the store name at the end!
